Original painting of the Point Arena Light Station which is located directly above the San Andreas Fault in Northern California. The fault line has sheared off imposing clifss and has scattered the Pacific Coast with jagged rocks, hence the need for the lighthouse to warn coastal vessels of the many haxards along the coastline.
